GEO Optimization
Generative Engine Optimization: the structural work that makes language models able to parse you, willing to trust you, and likely to quote you.
Ranking first doesn't mean being quoted.
A page can hold position one in Google and never appear in a single AI answer. The two systems evaluate completely different things.
Language models don't count keywords. They build a representation of who you are, what you do and whether your claims are corroborated elsewhere — then decide whether you're a safe source to cite. Pages written for crawlers frequently fail that test: marketing language with no verifiable specifics, claims that contradict third-party listings, and no machine-readable structure.
What we actually change.
GEO is unglamorous, structural work. It's closer to information architecture than to copywriting, and it compounds: every correction makes the next citation more likely.
We start where the gap between what you claim and what engines report is widest, because that's where a single fix moves several prompts at once.
Six workstreams
Entity definition
Establishing unambiguously what your brand is, what it sells and who it serves — consistently across your site, your schema and every third-party source engines read.
Structured data
Organization, Product, FAQ, HowTo and Article schema implemented properly, so parsing your pages requires no inference.
Citable source pages
Reference-grade pages built to be quoted: specific claims, dates, methodology and figures a model can lift with confidence.
Answer-shaped content
Restructuring existing pages so a direct answer sits near the top, with the supporting evidence a model needs to justify using it.
Off-site corroboration
Aligning directories, profiles, review platforms and industry sources — because contradiction between sources suppresses citation.
Citation tracking
Weekly prompt runs across five engines, scored for mention, sentiment, citation and competitive displacement.
Measured, not asserted.
Your baseline is recorded in week one — the exact prompts, the exact answers, who was cited. Every later report compares against that same set.
- Weekly re-runs across all five engines
- Competitive share-of-answer tracked alongside yours
- Movement shown in both directions, honestly
- Raw transcripts always available, not just scores
Common questions
Is GEO just SEO with a new name?
They overlap but optimise for different outcomes. SEO competes for position in a ranked list; GEO competes for inclusion in a generated answer. Technical hygiene helps both. Beyond that they diverge sharply — keyword targeting is central to one and nearly irrelevant to the other.
Will this hurt our existing search rankings?
No. The work — clearer structure, accurate schema, better-evidenced claims, consistent off-site data — aligns with what classic search rewards too. We coordinate with your SEO team so nothing conflicts.
How do you prove it worked?
Your baseline is recorded in week one: the exact prompts, the exact answers, who was cited. Every later report compares against that same set. You see movement in both directions, including prompts where we made no difference.
